We started Capital DeeJays based on a simple principal:  Anyone should be able to get the music and lighting they want for their event without any hassle and at a price they can afford. And DJs should know their place at your event - not become the center of attention (unless of course, that's what you want).

meet our owner and primary MC/dj

DJ Steven started Capital DeeJays out of his love of music. He has managed events of all sizes from New York to North Carolina for more than 30 years. He's the father of four boys, age 15-22, and he's been involved with numerous youth organizations since 1988. Steven has been a scout leader, baseball and basketball coach, robotics judge, church lector and sound engineer for his parish music ministry. He's also an active musician, with more than 100 live performances in the past 2 years, including 3 weeks at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and a performance at Washington Nationals Stadium.
